Yasemin Ozumerzifon is an arts and community program leader with over 15 years of experience at New York City arts nonprofits and museums. She most recently served as Senior Director and a member of the executive leadership team at Gibney, where she led dance and arts programs in partnership with public schools, domestic violence shelters, and government agencies, with a focus on addressing gender-based violence. Her work has included training teaching artists, building curriculum, and leading a federally funded study on the impact of dance on trauma that was published in a peer-reviewed journal. She began her career in museum education at the Guggenheim, studying how young children make and understand art, and holds an M.A. in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University.
