“The program is such a rich resource for only requiring five extra classes added to your coursework during your undergraduate journey. It introduced me to professors currently immersed in Arts Management positions who have current and honest insight into their job field. These professors gave me worthwhile and hands-on assignments that actually prepare you for real job tasks and even provide you with samples to offer employers. AMLC students became not only close friends of mine, but also trusted advisors and a web of mutual support as we shared our job and internship recommendations, journeys, and trials and errors. Before I finished my last semester as a Hunter student, I landed a salaried job in the Arts Management field thanks to my AMLC support system. Join this program, you’ll be very happy you did.”
“I would recommend this opportunity and program to many of my peers. This combination not only guided me through the workforce process, but also supported me when I had a moment of doubt, insecurity, or confusion. I was previously a CUNYBA student, but was told I would not be able to participate in this certificate program and opportunity, so I made the decision to leave CUNYBA just to participate in the Arts Management and Leadership Certificate. I truly see the fruits and value of this program, which led me to leave a completely different program just to obtain the certificate.”

I think that it will serve me well for my future jobs, and I would definitely recommend it to others. The AMLC team has been very supportive throughout my time at Hunter.”

“The combination of my internship and the AMLC classes have strengthened both my practical and professional skills, giving me a deeper understanding of leadership, communication, and adaptability in fast-paced environments. Prior to these experiences, I only saw myself as a performer but now I am able to walk away knowing that I am capable of expanding my network and applying the management skills I learned into any new areas or opportunities within the arts industry.”
